The On Premise Strategic Accounts Program Manager is responsible for helping to drive the profitable development and market share growth of the Edrington portfolio through Key On Premise National Accounts. Further, it is to provide unparalleled service to both internal and external customers including insights and information, financially grounded brand proposals, pricing information and creative, custom marketing proposals. The Strategic Accounts Program Manager will have the ability to foster key partnerships in assigned accounts, and work to ensure execution of targeted objectives in partnership with national brand plans as well as SA Division marketing plans to drive Edrington KPI’s.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior National Strategic Account Manager and Customer Marketing Manager and Coordinator to develop plans to expand portfolio and create programs that drive placements and velocity
  • Work with targeted accounts and agency partners to actively manage the planning and execution of strategic promotions and programs in specific markets
  • Prepare RFP presentations for existing and/or potential accounts which establish new or continuing brand placements, features, LTO’s, promotions and special events as well as menu placements
  • Prepare and review programs focusing on ROI and consumer activation 
  • Help to build effective and productive working relationships with key customers (internal and external), distributors and agencies
  • Monitor Account and Channel performance on a monthly basis against assigned growth objectives and KPI’s
  • Help to drive compliance and successful execution of programming with Edrington Divisional Sales Teams as well as Distributor National Account Teams
  • Assist the Senior National Strategic Account Manager to establish a Regional On Premise point person/team within each Division and work on developing local programs that increase distribution and velocity within the footprint established nationally
  • Provide feedback on marketing effectiveness and sales initiatives 
  • Work with marketing agency partners to explain company objectives and align them with company brands to establish placements, promotions and drink menus
  • Visit key regional accounts to address implementation of programs including but not limited to promotional and educational training
  • Help to manage and control planned /actual budget spending by account to ensure maximum account profitability for Edrington Americas
  • Help to manage, review  and authorize invoices from vendors within budget guidelines
  • Responsibly manage and utilize T&E budget
  • Use recognized validation tools (Diver/VIP/Nielsen) to deliver brand plans to achieve assigned target account results
  • Professionally represent Edrington at customer and industry events, appointments and conferences as related to On Premise National Accounts as needed
  • Submit and review monthly account planning calendar, weekly accomplishments report and sales planner using VIP with Senior NA Manager
  • Maintain accurate records regarding distributor and account profiles, COA pricing, on premise distribution and competitive distribution/activities 
  • Complete special projects such as price verification, distribution objectives in on premise channel and account specific test markets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies Required 

  • College Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • 5+ years’ experience within Beverage Alcohol Industry with a minimum of 2 years selling to National or Regional On Premise Account Customers
  • Proven track record of successful sales, goal attainment, programming and partnerships in the On Premise arena
  • Background in hospitality industry or distributor management is beneficial
  • Thorough knowledge of sales, sales management and delivering quality standards
  • In depth knowledge of category/channel management principles
  • Understanding of syndication industry data
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong presentation skills with proven written and oral communication expertise
  • Ability to consistently conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and skillful in working across teams internally and externally
  • Ability to communicate effectively and promptly at all levels of the organization as well as at key accounts
  • Computer proficiency required in MS Office products and internal data systems (VIP, etc)
  • Ability to analyze and utilize available information to prepare presentations, solve problems and present fact based solutions
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated budget and sales management skills
  • Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms 
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and industry guidelines
  • Positive attitude and out-going team player who also has an innovative and entrepreneurial approach
  • Up to 50% annual US Domestic Travel required across customer base and company/industry meetings and as needed to perform job function
  • Occasional International travel – valid US Passport required
  • Located near an Edrington Division office in Chicago or Dallas
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • At least 21 years of age
