The Marketing Manager role will support the Commercial Team and work close to the 3rd Party Distributors network for a perfect execution of Edrington Brands Plans and Strategies in the Region.  Our Goal in Latin America is to grow our Premium Portfolio, such as Macallan, Highland Park, Glenrothes.  A key Success Factor for this role is to deliver a world class implementation of Macallan Brand Building Model throughout our Key Cities. Focus markets are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Puerto Rico. The role will also have a dotted line into Edrington Americas marketing team in NY with the objective to leverage synergies and learnings across the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Commercial, Global Brand Teams and Distributors to plan and assist in the implementation of the Marketing Plans
  • Train and Support our team of LatAm Brand Ambassadors across the Region
  • Secure excellence in the implementation of The Macallan Brand Building Model. Directly supporting the Distributor and coordinating with Global Team in Scotland and Marketing team in US.
  • Develop and adapt global BTL educational tools to support local needs for Macallan brand Ambassadors and Distributors in each market
  • Evaluate BTL and PR activities, document and communicate key learning’s
  • Manage relevant Brand Ambassadors KPI’s with standard review processes
  • Promote and effectively share best practices amongst markets in the Region by promoting and implementing regional workshops
  • Participate in Key markets Quarter Business Reviews
  • Manage the Marketing Plan Cycle
  • Lead Edrington Marketing Planning Meetings

Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies Required

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree
  • FMCG sales management experience, adult beverage industry preferred
  • Trade marketing and/or brand management experience highly desirable
  • Experience working with Third Party Distributors
  • A proven track record in a change oriented, matrix management organization
  • Understanding of Brand Ambassadors role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint is essential with the ability to work with data from multiple data sources for reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Luxury goods market experience
  • Positive attitude and out-going team player who has a flexible approach to work
  • Must be able to work and develop relationships in a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and drive to improve current procedures and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, good in influencing and persuading others
  • Bilingual: Spanish & English (Portuguese a plus)
  • Travel requirement up to 40-50% as needed to perform job function
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Eligible to work in the US
