Data Intelligence Analyst - New York, NY

The purpose of this role is to backbone decision support efforts by ensuring that all data produced by auxiliary systems are accurate and reliable, allowing the field to make better decisions with our customers. This role will support ongoing systems development in order to ensure a positive end user experience and continuous engagement. As the data and systems will be utilized to make decisions at every level of the organization, the ideal candidate will possess the relentless attention to detail necessary to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the complex spirits industry and its associated data. This role will interface with various internal and external customers, so the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across a multitude of mediums is critical. In addition, the ideal candidate will exhibit an eagerness to learn, ability to adapt, persistence to resolve, and patience to succeed in the long term.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity of all decision support systems pertaining to sales, financials, marketing, & segmentation information across the organization
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of multiple data sources that underpin our proprietary depletion reporting analytics module
  • Build and maintain depletion data reconciliation process, improving interface with field and increasing credibility of data
  • Support the month end shipment and depletion P&L reconciliation process across all ancillary systems
  • Support our third-party system vendors and consultants in ongoing development by directing them towards value-add Field and Marketing facing enhancements
  • Produce relevant tutorials on key systems that can be distributed across all levels of the organization
  • Provide ongoing White Glove support and training on our systems and data to end users in Field & Marketing roles
  • Responsible for the upkeep, look, & feel of the company’s Business Intelligence SharePoint site
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams in identifying support requirements and providing assistance across a broad range of projects
  • Work with multiple data sources for the reporting and ad-hoc analysis across the entire value chain
  • Support organization by producing and publishing insights and recommendations on key business metrics, including but not limited to A&P, Distribution and Depletions
  • Analyze effectiveness of key marketing programs using internal and external data sources
  • Collate marketing research into meaningful PowerPoint presentations deliverable to senior decision makers for use throughout various strategic meetings
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and create value; identify issues and provide recommendations for enhancements

Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Concentration in technical field such as finance, economics, computer science, statistics, or engineering is preferred
  • 1-3 years of professional experience desired
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Analytic thinker and creative problem solver
  • Thrives in team environments
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience with databases and systems is desirable
  • Proficiency with SQL and VBA is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to legally work in the US
