The Macallan is the world’s finest and most admired single malt Scotch whisky brand. The Macallan Brand Manager will inspire and recruit consumers into the brand world through innovative and impactful value-driving initiatives and programming. She/He will work closely with the Brand Director to develop strategic luxury brand positioning, communications, implementing long and short-term plans and programs, and the use of data and insights to drive future brand development for the Americas’ markets while delivering budgeted yearly sales and profit objectives. This individual is an all-around business manager with P&L responsibility over The Macallan core range. The Brand Manager will work with all USA and other international markets to support the development and growth of The Macallan across the Americas region.

Must have a passion for luxury, innovation, and show optimal balance of creativity and pragmatism, to recommend solutions to brand challenges and help the team deliver stronger marketing programs. This person will find motivation in making things happen, understanding parameters of success, and inventing ways to meet them with great attention to details. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Steward of The Macallan brand who supports our brand promise, vision, position, and architecture while achieving overall business and profit goals
  • Understand and communicate The Macallan unique selling propositions to key stakeholders, customers and consumers
  • Develop luxury brand strategy, annual marketing plans, and media, experiential and promotion plans
  • Work closely with Commercial Integration team, strong commercial/Field partner
  • A&P Budget planning and management
  • Develop and manage all Experiential programs and initiatives
  • Media plan management
  • PR, CRM and Social Media strategy and management
  • ROI tracking and reporting
  • Brand performance & analysis
  • Custom program development and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct regular brand performance analysis and share findings and recommendations
  • Coaches Associate Brand Manager
  • Brief and manage agencies, vendors, partners and global/national stakeholders
  • Commercial planning and program co-creation.
  • Content Calendar
  • Social Media supervision
  • Media Plan administration
  • Brand Planning Cycle

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing minimum
  • 5+ years of consumer marketing experience in brand management role or equivalent.
  • Alcohol beverage industry background preferred (or other consumer packaged goods)
  • Luxury experience preferred
  • Passion for Marketing and brand management.
  • Must be digital and social media savvy
  • Strong interpersonal skills – a team player.
  • Able to influence, connect and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Complete financial understanding of all P&L elements and performance indicators.
  • Strong analytical skills – Ability to analyse data to recommend the proper actions to ensure the brand meets/exceeds yearly objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong Presenter and persuasive, confident public speaker
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to work in the US
  • Must be able to perform work-related travel (approximately 30%)
