Following the continued growth and successes of Edrington Americas, we are currently seeking an experienced Brand Manager to assist us in developing our Super Premium portfolio of spirit brands. As the Brand Manager - Innovation Brands, you will be immersed in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be a key member of the New-To-World Innovation team focused on building great brands with break out potential across multiple spirits categories.  In this role, you will work closely with a highly driven and passionate team, consisting of a Brand Director, a Brand Ambassador, and Marketing Assistant, as well as get high visibility access to senior management. Your core responsibilities will consist of developing new-to-world brands and manage the day-to-day execution of marketing strategies and initiatives for the recently nationally launched Noble Oak Whiskey brand and the existing Snow Leopard Vodka brand. To be successful, you must have passion and enthusiasm to act as the face and champion of the team when working with internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging across all brand touch points.

The ideal candidate must have previous relevant experience, the ability to think and drive results, and a strong desire to win.  In addition, you must be able to manage multiple stakeholders, such as brand owners, third party manufactures, and key executive stakeholders.  The current focus of the role is on innovation and building best-in-class brands.  However, given the fast-paced and evolving environment, you will also need to possess a good business acumen with a well-rounded Brand Marketing background.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the champion of the brands, using your passion, creativity and understanding of them to build belief and  knowledge, and inspire action
  • Assist in idea generation and the development of strategies and plans that will scale growth for existing brands and future new-to-world offerings
  • Brief and work closely with our agency partners and vendors to deliver brand campaigns, initiatives, partnerships, events and POS materials, always seeking innovation and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and oversee the execution of all consumer and trade centric media, experiential, PR and digital programs
  • Work collaboratively with the Consumer Insights and Commercial Integration teams to develop and deliver tools and programs that are aligned with the brand positioning and support the commercial team in achieving their KPIs
  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting and reporting, constantly looking for opportunities to optimize resources
  • Analyse sales performance to identify opportunities to grow the brands
  • Evaluate all brand programs and partnerships to deliver recommendations on how to evolve and perfect our executions
  • In partnership with local and global stakeholders, including the global brand team, supply chain, finance and legal, develop and launch new products into the US market
  • Work with the legal department to develop contracts and seek guidance for all major programs, sponsorships and experiential sampling opportunities
  • Be the voice of the brand at select local and regional company, distributor and agency meetings
  • Assist in coaching and developing the Marketing Assistant and Brand Ambassadors to be their best

Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within premium consumer goods or retail
  • Passionate about consumers and challenger brands 
  • Hardworking and reliable, with a proven track record of delivering brand content, events and initiatives that surpass expectations
  • Entrepreneurial and challenger mind-set, always questioning what can be done better and not settling for ‘ok’
  • A team player who fosters collaboration and enables others
  • Belief builder, with a demonstrated ability to empathise with and tailor communications to different audiences and their needs
  • The ability to write succinctly and professionally, and adapt style to brands’ voices as needed
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Can cope with change and pressure well and shift gears comfortably
  • Social and digital media savvy, who can help drive the brand’s digital innovation agenda forward
  • Strong budgeting and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must be willing to perform work-related travel (approximately 20%)
  • In this position you should be able to demonstrate the leadership standards (Inspire, Change, Collaborate, Engage and Deliver) within your role on a day-to-day basis
